I live in a black hole of common sense and normal activities, otherwise known as Mandeville. I attended LSU for a couple of years but found it wasn't what i was looking for. I'm in between semesters at a tech school where I'm obtaining certifications in the IT field. I'm a smoker and drinker with a sarcastic sense of humor and while I suck at it, like playing pool. My head is always spinning with romantic fantasies of princes, castles and magical creatures but in reality I am very practical and rational. I can be a bit of a walking contradiction at times. I go to full time school and I work as a full time nanny so I don't get much down time.

I don't know what it is but guys with long hair is a big turn on of mine. Even if there is nothing in common I will usually click on them. I love paranormal stuff. I went on a ghost tour in NO and I wish I had brought my camera. Some ghost pictures would have been so cool. I love visiting haunted places just for the thrill and maybe a good story. It would also be cool if I could write a book about haunted places I visited and how they made me feel and what their back stories are. I heard there was a paranormal museum in New Orleans and I would love to go check it out one day. I love the idea of there are somethings that can't be explained.

I also like reading about serial killers. Why they do it is a great fascination of mine. It kind of shows the morbid side of me. I don't get queasy when I look at crime scene photos but I have yet to go to an actual crime scene. I think the smell might get to me more than the visual aspect of it.

You can usually find me in the math lab at SLU because math is always a struggle for me. I also prefer to eat lunch in the Lion's den because I feel its warmer in there. At least on the days I get to eat lunch.

I'm an introvert converted to extrovert. If you can believe such a thing is possible. I Just moved here to Mandeville from Baton Rouge. I am looking to establish a new friends base so I won't have to commute all the way to BR just to get my kicks.

I enjoy lots of activities, ranging from active things like bike riding, canoeing, camping, and racket ball, to not so active things like video games (loves his wii) or watching movies.

I started flying planes when I was 14 and got my license at 17. I have been skydiving, scuba diving in Mexico, traveled around a lot of the US and been to Mexico a couple of times. It took me until I was 17 to figure out that the "why's" and the "how's" don't really matter so much as making sure that you enjoy and make the most of the time we have. This feeling has driven me my whole life. It drove me to try new and different things at every turn, and to do my best at everything. As a result, I had a great time through school and the activities and organizations I was in, got a great education, and have seen the world on many, many trips. Now I am at a new chapter in my life where I feel like I should settle down a bit, maybe fall in love. I bought a house, got a job that keeps me in one place for a while...I don't know what will happen, but I do know I'll have fun doing it.

I'm not sure what quite to put here, I just recently was rather forced to have a rough journey of self discovery. I still don't seem to understand myself as well as I can. I'm kind, thoughtful and loyal, almost to a fault sometimes.Communication to me is key as it seems lack of which has destroyed more of my friendships/relationships then I would care to name.I still have a firm grasp on my childhood, though that does not mean I lack the ability to rise up when more is needed..it also means I hold my dreams, desires and affections much closer to my heart. Right, so when I'm not cooking up bad metaphor, I'm busy being overly introspective and earnest to a fault. I'm one of those people who lives in his head and heart, which is lonely and makes meeting new people hard. I' m back in Louisiana after over three and a half years in Austin, TX. I like music and movies a lot, but there is a nifty section for that later. I like new or alien situations, but I prefer to observe before participating. You know, like easing into cold water instead of jumping, but it depends on the situation. Self-Summary? Christ, just look at me! I'm a mess of a person. Look at that haircut. Oh, and he plays music too! So does every other bag of douche dickjob with an over-inflated sense of self-importance. I could be decent chap after all but who in the world knows? I don't really go about my day with a flow chart telling me how to judge myself and neither do you, America (obviously). I am, however, doing my best to stay in the middle of the road. Vanilla. But Hakuna Mutata, right? Anyway. I really hate Covington, Louisiana. I lived in Houston for a while and it was nice to see a city with a functional economy and a downtown area not designed strictly for selling Mardi Gras t-shirts to tourists for a change. I mean, I love New Orleans but seriously guys, you can do better than this. Anyway, if NOLA's the asshole of the country then Covington's the rash you get around that asshole from not wiping properly. It's kind of like Disney World except instead of being based around Mickey, Donald and Goofy, it's based off the movie Gummo... and no one's being paid to dress up in character.

I also have a sick fascination with the minor league professional wrestling show from 1986 on ESPN Classic. It's this catastrophic trainwreck of humanity, like watching two flaming Hindenburgs fight each other for an hour while the Haymarket Riot watches from the stands. Something this terrible... true devolution... for the sake of science, I can't not watch it.

So maybe Covington's got it's charms too. You just have to look at it from the right angle. For instance, picture yourself as if you were in the movie Honey I Shrunk the Kids. Now, instead of being microscopic in your own back yard, you're now in a petri dish full of STD's and body lice. From a scientific standpoint, that's pretty interesting... just don't touch anything.

Oddly enough, my chosen profession is computer programming. There's something to it that just strikes my interest, and I can't figure it out. I guess I like to figure out problems and that's all programming seems to be. How can you make this program more efficient, can you write this code differently to take up less space and run faster? Another thing that is appealing is the change of languages, I'd love to continue schooling even after I'm done with college. This gives me a chance to keep my mind fresh for the years to come.

The last major thing I want to add in my summary would have to be my love for music; I'm addicted to Electronica. I always have music playing when I'm on the computer, and I'm always at the computer. It makes me calm and it's definitely a great stress reliever for me, I'm almost never mad because of it.

All that aside if you can actually get me to be serious, I've been told I'm very helpful. I'd also do anything for those close to me, friends, family, etc, I'm the guy that gets woken up at 2am when people are too drunk to drive home.

Also just as a side note, forgive me if you see me in your visitors list more than once. People change pictures so often that if you see me in there a few times, its not that i'm stalking you, I just forgot that I'd seen you before. I am a very fun, loving, outgoing person. I have 2 wonderful (married with babies) children with great spouses; my 2 grandbabys are my heart. I work 10 -12 hours a day as a veterinary tech/receptionist, and have been doing so for the past 30 years. I own my own house and car, and am self sufficient. Hello there. My name is Bernice, and I don't like it. I'll be graduating High School in May. I'm ready to get out. LSU bound, after I attend summer classes at SLU. I'm aspiring to be a nurse. I've changed my intended major so many times that I'm convinced that I have ADD.
I really love books and music. Anything that is intillectually stimulating, actually. Good people and great conversation can pretty much make my world go 'round. I hate spending money. That basically means that you could impress me more by taking me to a park than to a movie. I contradict myself, because I love going to concerts (which would probably be the most expensive thing you could do as a fun activity).
I always keep my phone by my side. (Please don't ask for my number) I'd prefer to text someone more than calling them. I have a phobia of being trapped, and phone calls create a sense of "no escape" for me. I realize, this is dumb.
