Hammond clinches District 7-5A title Hammond’s Tornadoes clinched the District 7-5A championship with a 72-61 victory over the Slidell Tigers Monday at SHS. Slidell (22-9) is 11-2 in the league, while Hammond is 13-0. Both of the Tigers’ district losses have come to the Tornadoes.

AAU Basketball Tryouts set Team Shockaz will be holding their annual try-outs for perspective players in various age groups Saturday at the Hammond High School Gym.
